Curator:
I wish to make an inquiry concerning the possibility of examining specimens of Echinostelium minutum de Bary currently deposited in your Mycological Herbarium. I plan to examine one or two sporangia per specimen with the Scanning Electron Microscope in order to determine the nature of the spore wall ornamentation in the pink- and white-spored forms of this taxon. I am particularly interested in collections fruited on leaves, stems, or dried dung, although I realize most herbarium specimens of this taxon are fruited on bark.
I thank you for any information or help you can give me concerning this matter.
Most sincerely yours,
Edward F. Haskins
