YALE UNIVERSITY
OSBORN BOTANICAL LABORATORY
NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT
June 22, 1940.
Dr. J. M. Fogg Jr.,
MacFarlane Hall,
University of Pennsylvania,
Philadelphia, Pa.
Dear Dr. Fogg,
During my brief visit in your herbarium, I saw
a specimen of Frasera caroliniensis from Pennsylvania. Can you
send me a copy of the data, so that I may cite it? I am now
expanding my study into a real revision of the genus and the
related Swertia, so I would like to be able to cite that
specimen.
A week here, a month at the Gray Herbarium, then I must start
west. The year is nearly over, but it has been a very pleasant and
interesting one.
Cordially,
Harold St. John,
Professor of Botany
