5. Taxonomy
The nomenclature of many cultivated plants is simply chaotic, mainly because taxonomists cannot be bothered about such everyday plants that have been interfered with by man and are not altogether God's own productions. Information should be provided to show how the wild forms differ from the cultivated forms of the species.
Each plant should be listed by its correct Latin name plus synonymy. Keys would be provided as a basis for identification. Identification is often a major problem in dealing with cultivated plants, and for this reason this encyclopedia would, if necessary, have a taxonomic base.
