LITTLE PINE (Cedar)
1. LEPTOTENA multifida (Cough root) (S) toh-sup (P) ton-ss
Familiar to all the Indians and the most common used of all the medicine roots. Root shaved fir smoke in pipe, sprinkled on coals and fumes inhaled for head colds, small piece chewed slow to stop coughing. Root boiled and tea taken for colds.
2. GILLIA pulchella or serrata (Timpuite) (S) tin-sh-pinto The whole plant is boiled, resulting solution taken as a drink for a physic.

5. SPHAERALCEA munroana (Orange mallow) (S) cuon-ob-conbe While some boil only the root, these Indians say boil the whole plant. A tea drink is made for venereal diseases.
6. ACHILLEA millefolium (Yarrow) (S) Pal-wha-pip is boiled, tea drink taken for urinary or upset stomach.
