Roots dried, boiled, tea taken for rheumatism.
Roots boiled, tea taken for venereal disease.
Roots dried, ground fine, applied to syphilitic sores.

Ripe seeds ground fine, burned in pan, mixed with pine pitch and eaten to stop diarrhoea.

End twigs boiled, tea taken for venereal disease.
Berries boiled, tea cooled, taken in dose of less than 1/2 cup once a day for a week as a blood tonic.
