Boils:
roots dried, ground to a fine powder, applied as a poultice.
Burns:
root dried and powdered - applied.
Coughs and colds:
root mashed, applied to deep cuts, as a healing agent.
Cuts and wounds:
root boiled, decoction taken.
Diarrhoea:
root soaked in cold water. Solution used as wash. Root boiled, decoction taken.
Eye wash:
roots raw seeds crushed - used. Root boiled, decoction cooled, used as a wash.
Gargle:
roots boiled, decoction used as gargle for sore throat. Dried root
Kidney disorders:
roots boiled, decoction taken in dose of 1 cup three times daily - 3 years. Seeds steeped, solution taken before each meal.
Nausea:
roots steeped, solution taken.
Pulmonary:
roots dried, shaved fine, applied as a healing agent.
Sores:
root boiled, decoction used as a gargle for sore throat. Small piece of root and suck.
