Dear Drs. Degener:
Recently I received a package of books from you. Thank you so much for your kind donation as well as for the specimens, books and informations you sent us before.
By examining information and specimens you kindly offered us, I can tell you have made an outstanding contributions to the studing on phytotaxonomy and of course your splendid work is viewed with high respect on the world. Your collections have been distributed to various major herbaria of the world. That would be an excellent permanent memento. I deeply esteem both of you for your successive efforts for the development of botanical studies in your high advanced ages. Once again I want to express pur profound appreciation to you for plant material and information concerned from Hawaii. Before long, we shall send you a package of herbarium material. If you have other requirements, please let me know, I will try my best to help you.
It always reminds me of your achievements whenever I see the name Degeneriaceae. That would be a great honor and pleasure if we could see the specimen of Degeneria vitiensis.
Aloha
