Dear Sirs:
A few years ago members of the Botany Department of Butler University made a study of the trees of the Berkey woods a few miles northwest of Warsaw and published our findings in the Butler University Botanical Studies. This paper has come to the attention of Dr. Henry K. Svenson of the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, 1000 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn 25, New York and he has written asking whether we have any photographs either of the woods or of the big bur oak tree in it. He is collecting pictures that will give comparative stories of forests in different parts of the United States. We do not have any pictures of this area and I am writing to ask whether you may know of any that would be available. Dr. Svenson states that cost would not be a limiting factor.
If you can give me any information as to where I might secure one of more pictures for him, I shall appreciate it very much.
Sincerely yours,
Ray C. Friesner
Professor of Botany
