Dear Dr. Lowy:
I am writing at the suggestion of Dr. Helen M. Gilkey to inquire if someone at your institution would be interested in an exchange of botanical teaching material for herbarium specimens.
We are desirous of securing good specimens for the Herbarium reference and for classes use in our courses in systematic botany. The immediate cause for this inquiry is the discovering of the fact that we do not have material for:
Leitneria floridana
of which we would like to have specimens showing both flowers and fruit. I would be glad to take up correspondence with someone who might be interested in an exchange of botanical specimens.
Your interest in referring my letter to some such person will be very greatly appreciated.
Very truly yours,
Albert N. Steward
